Audio Dynamics will offer its first full marine audio line, which follows its recent launch of new ultra high end car audio subwoofers. The new marine line will include a full series of amplifiers, tower speakers and other marine audio products.
The company has offered water resistant amplifiers in the past but the new line will be its first that has been designed from the ground up for the marine environment, said Kevin Holden of Vault 12v Marketing. Launch is expected later this year with more details to follow.
Late last year, Audio Dynamics launched a new ultra high end sound quality subwoofer line, which it says has the highest XMax in the industry for its 6.7-inch mid bass driver. Called the Master Series, it uses XBL^2 split gap technology to maintain more motor force (BL) through the stroke of the speaker.
An example is the Master Series 10.3-inch M10d2 at $799. It is a shallow mount, dual 2-ohm subwoofer. It uses a flat composite fiber cone and a dual gap motor. Peak to peak linear excursion is 30mm and peak to peak mechanical excursion is 50 mm in a package with a 3 15/16″ (100mm) mounting depth.
The subwoofer has a 2.5 inch copper voice coil and 600 watts RMS power handling. It’s also available in a dual 4 ohm version.

The company is a limited distribution brand with no authorized internet sales except for its own website. If a product is sold from the website, the dealer in the corresponding territory receives a credit for the profits from the sale once the product ships.
In addition to the new marine audio launch, Audio Dynamics said it expects to make a major product announcement later this year.
