BOSS Elite plans to release its first Harley Davidson replacement radio next quarter. It will offer wireless/wired CarPlay and Android Auto and built-in Maestro RR (to retain factory features).
The double DIN radio will work with the 2014-2023 Harley Davidson Street Glide, Road Glide and Electra Glide touring bikes. It has a 7-inch full touch screen display and offers plug and play installation. It is expected to retail in the neighborhood of $1,469.
Other features of the deck, called the BE920WCPA.HD, include SiriusXM compatibility, an IP66 dust proof and weatherproof rating, built-In DSP with 13-Band EQ, crossover setting and time alignment, and rear camera input.
BOSS Elite, which has been repositioning the brand to offer RMS true watt ratings and cutting edge features, will also offer four new amplifiers and a couple of speakers next quarter, followed by new subwoofers late this year or early next year.
Amplifiers will include a 5-channel model rated at 830 watts RMS total and a 4-channel model at 600 watts RMS total plus two mono amplifiers–a 400 watt and a 600 watt version. All are “super compact” Class D units, said Colin Ross.
The two new subwoofers will include 10- and 12-inch models and the speakers will include a 6 x 9 and 6.5-inch model.
BOSS Elite has been expanding and is now working with 400 dealers, Ross said.
