JVCKENWOOD and Alps Alpine report Q1 earnings ending June 2025.

JVCKENWOOD and Alps Alpine reported earnings for their respective first quarters  ended in June.

JVCKENWOOD’s Mobility & Telematics (M&T) segment, under which car audio falls, reported lower revenue but higher core operating income due to higher prices.  The company attributed the improved operating income to “an improved profit from a price pass-through in the Aftermarket Business despite a negative impact of declined revenues due to the U.S. tariff measures at JKHL [JVCKENWOOD Hong Kong Holdings Ltd.] in the OEM and the Aftermarket Businesses.”

Revenue for the M&T segment for the first quarter was approximately $317 million (46.6 billion yen) compared to $326 million for the quarter a year ago.  Core operating income for the M&T segment was $11.6 million compared to $4.1 million a year ago.

For JVCKENWOOD as a whole, revenue for Q1 totalled $545 million compared to $597 million a year ago.  Core operating income was $21 million compared to $40.6 million a year ago.  Operating profit was $29.6 million compared to $41 million a year ago and profits before taxes were $33.3 million compared to $47.3 million.

For the full year ending March 2026 (which factors in impacts from tariffs, said JVCKENWOOD), the company forecasts total revenue of $2.4 billion compared to $2.5 billion a year ago.  It forecasts $132.6 million in profits compared to $160 million last year.
