New Radio Brand Vinland Launches Maestro Capable Line

Vinland, a new Android-based radio brand since 2023, announced a new series called VISION that will be distributed through the Elite Distributor Alliance (EDA).

VISION’s radios are vehicle-specific radios and include Maestro capability to retain vehicle features. The EDA will oversee the roll out of the line, according to a joint announcement by Vinland and EDA.

VISION radios support camera/dashcam features such as parking surveillance– if a G sensor detects shaking of the vehicle, it triggers recording when the car is parked (cameras not included).  Another feature is AI “Drive Chat”– voice activated ChatGPT based on Open AI.

Additional VISION features are GPS tracking (free initially); app-based wireless CarPlay and Android Auto; SIM card slot, QLED high resolution screen, built in DSP and amplifier plus HDMI, optical and RCA out,

As an Android-based radio, drivers can download apps from the Google Play store directly to the radio via a phone’s hotspot, SIM card or WiFi connection.

VISION radios are based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The radios run Android 13.  They support over-the-air updates.

Vinland offers a two year warranty when radios are purchased and installed by an authorized dealer, otherwise the warranty term is one year. Tech support is based in Orange County, CA.
