ALDEN STIEFEL TRANSITIONS

Maxxsonics USA announced today that Alden Stiefel, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, will transition into the role of Chairman of the Board. Brian Sherman, who has served as Vice President of Product and Marketing for over two decades, has been appointed President effective July 8.

Stiefel’s career in the mobile electronics industry began in the 1970s with a retail operation focused on car audio. He later joined Clifford Electronics, where he advanced to the position of Executive Vice President during the company’s peak in the 1980s and 1990s. Following his tenure at Clifford, Stiefel co-founded Avital, a brand known for its innovations in vehicle security and remote start systems.

In 2001, shortly after the events of September 11, Stiefel co-founded Maxxsonics USA. The company launched with a portfolio of established and emerging mobile audio brands, including MB Quart, Hifonics, Crunch, and Autotek. Under his leadership, Maxxsonics expanded its presence in both aftermarket and OEM channels.

Over the past two decades, Maxxsonics has developed OEM partnerships with brands such as Polaris, Kawasaki, and CFMOTO.

“I believed in the vision and the team when we launched Maxxsonics in 2001, and that belief has remained strong over the years,” said Stiefel. “As Chairman, I will continue to support the company’s strategic direction and ensure continuity as leadership transitions.”

Incoming President Brian Sherman has worked closely with Stiefel since the company’s founding and brings over 25 years of experience in product development, branding, and marketing strategy within the 12-volt industry.

“Alden’s leadership established a strong foundation for Maxxsonics,” said Sherman. “I look forward to continuing that momentum and guiding the company through its next phase of growth.”

Stiefel will remain actively involved in long-term planning and strategic initiatives in his new role as Chairman.
