Under the DIZZPLAY brand, ZZ2 is entering the screen replacement infotainment market with a system designed specifically for BMW, AUDI, and Mercedes-Benz vehicle models. It is expected to be available the end of June.
The new DIZZPLAY 10.25-inch high resolution touchscreen replaces the factory‘s 6- or 8.5-inch screen, adding wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and front and rear camera. It retains the factory Bluetooth and microphone and will offer Bluetooth audio streaming if the car supports it.
The screen replacement system is based on LINUX OS for fast boot up times, without the lag times sometimes associated with replacement screens, said ZZ2. Company president Tiago Sperandio said ZZ2 has been working on the new system for two years.
The DIZZPLAY line is compatible with most BMW vehicles from 2004 through 2017. The line is also compatible with ZZ2 add-ons including ZZ2Connect + (HDMI casting), ZZAIR and Zeus Ultra2.
Pricing will be announced.
