NAV-TV announced its ninth amplifier interface in the ZEN series, the ZEN-F25 for 2025 and up Ford vehicles.
The new ZEN A2B amplifier replacement interface allows the addition of aftermarket amps to the factory B&O or Revel amplified SYNC4 system. The interface converts a 2025+ Ford factory A²B (Automotive Audio Bus) to a 6-channel analog RCA and TOSLink output.
As in other ZEN interfaces, the F25 produces a flat audio signal from the factory system, without factory time delay or equalization; eliminating the need for summing devices or other methods to “clean” the factory signal.
“Once we determined that the 2025 F-series pick-ups had a different amplifier; we immediately went to work on a product to support them, and we are confident this system will cover more 2025 vehicles as they come available,” said Tony Yankovsky.
The interface retains volume, balance, fade (analog only), and bass/treble controls on the factory radio and it supports echo cancellation for the factory phone system. The chime volume can be controlled independently through the on-board configuration utility.
“Installers will now be able to seamlessly replace the amplifier on the new Ford and Lincoln vehicles, as easily as they were able to do on the older ones, providing customers with ‘audiophile quality sound’ while retaining all of the factory features,” said Yankovsky. The interface will be familiar to those who have worked with the earlier ZEN-A2B/Ford interface, he added.
The ZEN-F25 extracts the audio directly from the SYNC radio’s digital audio stream and performs the D/A conversion internally. The interface uses a 128-bit floating-point DSP and 384 KHz 32-bit DAC. The 6-channel analog output has a low noise floor and a Signal to Noise ratio of 114 dB, said NAV-TV.
The ZEN-F25 follows the recent ZEN-H and revamped ZEN-AVB interfaces. Initial quantities will be limited, said NAV-TV.
