BOSS Elite announced its newest line of car head units is now compatible with iDatalink Maestro interfaces through an available software update. Maestro allows drivers to retain OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) features when upgrading to an aftermarket stereo system.
The new BOSS Elite head units (BE14ACP.WX, BE12ACP.WX, BE10ACP.WX, BE9ACP.WX, BE7ACP.WX) allow enhanced control over vehicle diagnostics, climate controls, and steering wheel audio functions when used with a Maestro interface.
Current BOSS Elite head unit models that end in .WX have the capability to work with Maestro modules through a software update at BOSSelite.com.
The line includes large, high resolution screens from 7 to 14 inches and CarPlay and Android Auto as well as SiriusXM capability. The line ranges in price from $299.99 to $699.99.
Newer models will ship with built-in Maestro-ready capability without the need for a software update in the second quarter of this year or early Q3, said BOSS.
