Alpine shipped Tuesday it’s latest deck offering features such as a shallow chassis and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto at a price of $429.95.
The iLX-W770 has a 6.75-inch screen and an “ultra shallow” depth of 2.4 inches. An Alpine PowerStock amplifier can be mounted on the back of the deck. The radio has two camera inputs, versus one in previous generations, for adding a front or rear-view camera with distance guidelines.
“The iLX-W770 is Alpine’s response to the increasing demand of low-cost multimedia receivers with wireless smartphone capability in the vehicle,” said Gregg Thomas, Director of National Sales for the Alpine Brand.
The new mechless deck also offers Lighting Link Control, compatible with Alpine’s PrismaLink Subwoofer Enclosures. If you pair the iLX-W770 with a PrismaLink subwoofer, you get touchscreen control of the LED RGBW color selections.
Other features include a 13-band graphic EQ, 6-channel time correction, and versatile crossovers for the front and rear speakers and subwoofer for fine tuning a sound system. New to the platform is a sound boost menu that features expanded Bass Boost, mid-Bass Boost, and subwoofer controls.
