SmartStart unveiled a portable calibration station for its alcohol ignition interlock devices that will no longer require a desktop computer station at the service retailer.
The portable station is due in the first quarter of 2025. It is expected to speed up calibration time and the time it takes to set up a service dealer, said the company
The station is the size of a thick brief case. It includes a head piece (the user blows into it) and a small gas tank that is easier to manage by the dealer.
The portable station was shown at the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America (MESA) Summit in September with more details to come.
