12 volt accessory company, ZZ2, announced its first head unit is coming to the US with an unusual wide screen format. ZZ2 also announced at KnowledgeFest last week, a Bike2Play CarPlay/Android Auto add-on designed for motorcycles.
The MPPlay head unit is a single DIN deck with a 6.9-inch widescreen equipped with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. It has been offered in Canada and Brazil and is heading to the US in July. ZZ2 said the product is particularly useful in older vehicles. And it may also be used in the new General Motors electric vehicles that will be shipping without CarPlay. Users can also connect the screen to streaming devices such as the ZZAIR-Pro and Zeus Ultra2.
The MPPlay has two front panel USB ports and inputs for a rear camera and a resistive steering wheel control plus outputs for rear screens. It is expected to carry a retail price of $150.
ZZ2’s Bike2Play is a 6-inch screen that attaches to handlebars to add wireless CarPlay and Android Auto to a motorcycle. It works with any Bluetooth headset or it can send the audio through a head unit over Bluetooth. Users can stream music with navigation cues breaking through.

The Bike2Play is rated at IP65 for water resistance. A step up model will ship with front and rear DVR cameras. The Bike2Play needs power and ground, and it comes with multiple handle bar brackets.
The Bike2Play will ship in July at a price to be announced.
