KENWOOD announced a new low priced CarPlay/Android Auto deck that adds a single DIN short chassis to its lineup.
Called the DMX4710S, the deck also steps up to a higher resolution 6.8-inch screen over its predecessor and adds Maestro capability for retaining factory features at a minimum advertised price (MAP) of $320.
Shipping next month, the DMX4710S is joined by a limited edition model, DMX40S with the same features except the DMX40S offers 3.7 volt pre-outputs and the DMX4710S has 2.5 volt preouts.
Both offer wired CarPlay/Android Auto, SiriusXM capability and USB mirroring for iPhone and Android.
The new decks are joined by three new KENWOOD dashcams, one standalone model (DRV-A310W) and two two-channel dashcams with front and rear cameras.
The DRV-A310W lets you add an optional second camera. It has a 2-inch color TFT screen and now has a waterproof rating of IP67 and built-in motion detection so the system wakes to record when someone walks by the vehicle. It also now gets over-the-air updates when used with the updated KENWOOD smartphone app.
The DRV-A310 has built-in WiFi at a MAP of $120.
Next in line, the DRV-A510WDP steps up to wide Quad HD and the inclusion of front and rear cameras. It has an upgraded IMX335 ½.8 CMOS sensor and the same new OTA updates, motion sensing and IP67 ratings as the A310W. The DRV-A510WDP has a MAP of $220.
A third model, the DRV-A610WDP adds 4K capability and IMX415 ½.8 CMOS sensor at $300.
