Press Release: Massive Audio announced a new line of subwoofers designed in-house from the ground up.
The new GTR subwoofers range in size from 6- to 12-inches with power handling rated between 400 and 1,000 watts.
“This series redefines what is possible to achieve in low frequency output with a stock vehicle charging system, when building a 100 percent custom, from a ground up design, while making it the ultimate in durability,” said Massive Audio.
The subwoofers use a newly designed spider surround and “acoustically transparent” custom tooled grilles for the 8- to 12-inch models.
The GTR line voice coil is built in the USA. It is a 2.66 inch dual 4-layer voice coil that is pure copper. This is a high-power design that has almost 1 inch of additional travel compared to competing models, said Massive Audio. A 10mm spacer, a wider 12mm bottom plate and 10mm top plate has been added.
