DD Audio Beast Subwoofers

Press Release: OKLAHOMA CITY, OK– DD AUDIO, a manufacturer of high-quality mobile audio products is proud to introduce the newly upgraded line of USA-Made Beast subwoofers: the 9900C Series. With 3 inches of magnet cross section over a 10 inch outer diameter and a weight of 70 pounds for the motor alone, this subwoofer “pummels the air with unadulterated ruckus and attitude.”

The Beast has been on the street and in competition lanes for over a decade and now is upgraded in the new 2508G, 9500L and Z Series.

The 9900C includes performance features such as an aluminum dual stage rear mounted heatsink, USA-made iron cloth spider system, second generation V-ROM surround, combined with DD’s largest ferrite motor subwoofer series, optimized for a 2000 – 3200 watt power band, and the ability to handle power bursts well over 10,000 watts.

When supercharged, the 9900 motor throws nearly 9000 gauss through a 30mm deep gap, where the 8 layer coil is driven to 40mm of one way travel, with 15mm of coil still driven in the magnet gap resulting in exceptional coil control and excursion driven through the stiffest and lightest moving parts. The Free Flow Cooling System and multi-point heatsinks offer unbeatable heat dissipation to protect the high-temp insulated voice coil. The non-pressed carbon fiber loaded pulp cones are made to be incredibly light and strong, with the audibly distinguishable quality of being handmade in the USA.

Custom 9900C Series subwoofers can be ordered through your local dealer or if you don’t have one, directly by contacting DD AUDIO. Among the custom options are DD’s in-house fabricated composite sandwich cones and dust caps. These feature ultralight CnC machined foam-cores sandwiched between layers of Kevlar, carbon fiber, and S-glass for even greater durability in applications where that’s needed. They can be made in a variety of colors to match any aesthetic. All cones and dust caps are fabricated at DD AUDIO’s headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK and are assembled by hand with aerospace grade epoxy.
