AudioControl announced its entry into the subwoofer enclosure market with two premium loaded subwoofer enclosure series, Spike (SPK) and Space (SPC).
The SPC enclosures are available in 10” (SPC-W10 $389 MSRP) and 12” (SPC-W12 $419 MSRP) compact sizes and include AudioControl Space Series shallow mount subwoofers. They have dual front mounting baffles, specially crafted internal support and may be mounted vertically or horizontally and “provide a surprising amount of output for their size,” said AudioControl.
The SPK enclosures, available in 8” (SPK-V8 $375 MSRP), 10” (SPK-V10 $479 MSRP), and 12” sizes (SPK-V12 $519 MSRP), were designed with AudioControl Spike Series subwoofers. They offer a high quality motor/magnet support structure and internal bracing, said AudioControl.
The enclosures are coated in Roadkill Armor and marine-grade vinyl. They have a “unique, integrated multi-secure mounting system and quick disconnect harness,” said AudioControl.
Shipping is expected “soon” and the product may be pre-ordered now.
