Alpine, (Alps Alpine North America) announced three new vehicle-specific solutions for Ford F-Series trucks and the new Ford Bronco. These are the first complete audio kits for Ford from Alpine.
Alpine has offered “Restyle” Ford-specific radios in the past and subwoofers, but the new systems are the first Ford-specific complete audio kits from Alpine.
Gregg Thomas, Director of National Sales for Alpine said, “Using what we learned from past product offerings, we’re proud to offer solutions and complete sound system upgrade packages that were intentionally designed to both compliment and improve the truck experience.”
Two F-150 Systems
The first system is for 2015-up Ford F-Series trucks. It is an 8 speaker system using Alpine’s OPTIM8 processing technology. The PSS-23FORD-F150 system is pre-tuned for the truck cabin and includes six high resolution speakers from the Next-Generation S-Series line. These replace the front and rear factory speakers in the Ford F-Series truck with 8-inch component front speakers and 6.5-inch coaxial rear speakers.
Also included is a 600 watt RMS (300W x 2) dual eight-inch truck subwoofer enclosure designed to be installed under the rear seat. The system is powered by Alpines OPTIM8 eight-channel Hi-Res Sound Processor/Amplifier with automatic sound tuning.
A system will also be available for the 2015-up Ford F-Series Trucks with the factory premium B&O audio system (PSS-23FORD-F150BO) featuring the same product offering powered by a S-Series 5-Channel amplifier instead of the OPTIM8. Each system includes a vehicle-specific harness designed for easy plug-and-play installation.
Bronco System
Alpine announced an audio upgrade for the Ford Bronco. The SBP-24BRNC is a weather resistant powered tailgate subwoofer enclosure designed for the 2021-up Bronco as an easy bass upgrade with plug-and-play installation.
The enclosure is loaded with a 12-inch shallow subwoofer and a 500 watt RMS amplifier. It comes with a harness and a custom mounting bracket allows for easy installation on the inside rear tailgate.
The F-Series system and B&O version will be available this spring at $1,499.95 and $1,999.95 respectively. The tailgate subwoofer enclosure for the Ford Bronco will be available in March at $999.95.
