Stellantis announced it has teamed up with BlackBerry and Amazon to create a virtual digital cockpit platform that will speed up by 100 fold the process of delivering new infotainment technology.
Reuters said car makers are under pressure to speed up development time to compete with new EVs coming out of China.
By using BlackBerry cloud based tools and Amazon’s cloud, Stellantis can create virtual versions of car controls and systems, as if they were in a real car. It can then develop in hours what would have taken months in the past, said a Stellantis press release.
