UTV Stereo, the retailer turned UTV audio kit supplier 8 years ago, has released what it calls the first aftermarket audio kit series for the new Can-Am Maverick R.

The kits interface with the Maverick R’s factory touchscreen via Bluetooth to provide full touchscreen control over functions including volume up/down, track forward/reverse, pause/play, and album artwork.

The three stage kits each include two 10-inch Flex woofers, one pair of 6.5-inch coaxials, one pair of RGB tweeters, and a pair of cage mount speaker pods.   The kits include all supplies required for the installation.

The Stage 6 Signature Kit is a 1,200 watt system at $3,915.  The Stage 7 Elite Kit is a 2,200 watt system at $5,595, and the Stage 8 Elite Kit is a 3,200 watt system at $6,495.

UTV Stereo was spun off from Arizona-based dealer Quality Car Stereo owned by Chase Moll.  Jeff Pedersen, former Wet Sounds Territory Sales Manager was named National Sales Manager of the company this past July.

Pederson said of Moll, “Eight years ago he couldn’t get the quality of product he was looking for from other manufacturers…so he started sourcing his own line.”

UTV Stereo has three amplifier lines, three speaker lines and 10- and 12-inch woofers. These are build kits for Polaris and Can-Am that are also sold a la carte.

UTV Stereo will display at KnowledgeFest in Dallas and Las Vegas this year.
