Here is another opportunity for car audio dealers due to lingering shortages of chips and automotive parts.
The optional infotainment system for some Chevy Silverado Medium Duty (MD) Work Trucks is not available at present due to short supply, said GM Authority.
The 7 inch screen is not available for the Silverado 4500 HD, Silverado 5500 HD and Silverado 6500 HD trucks in the Work Truck (WT) trim. Instead, these are equipped with 4.2 inch screens, said GM Authority.
While these are work trucks, those wanting an up-to-date infotainment system are left with only a basic system that includes AM/FM radio, USB port and auxiliary jack. The systems also lack SiriusXM, OnStar and Chevrolet connected services.
