JL Audio is shipping three new Stealthbox enclosed subwoofers including two for Tesla vehicles and one for the Dodge Ram.
The first Tesla Stealthbox is for the 2017 and up Model 3. It mounts on the rear deck and includes a 10-inch TW1 thin-line driver in a fiberglass enclosure that is custom-formed to the vehicle.
JL Audio said while Tesla’s Model 3 offers remarkable acceleration and fun driving, “Unfortunately, the factory audio systems are unable to produce enough bass to match its performance capabilities.”
The new Stealthbox model SB-TE-3G1-10TW1 offers 300 watt power handling and is wired for 2 ohm mono use. Installation requires a permanent modification to the rear deck and to the interior rear deck panel.
It is joined by the Stealthbox SB-TE-YG1-10TW1 for the 2020 and up Model Y (5 Seat). It also includes the 10-inch TW1 subwoofer and is designed to drop into the driver’s side, rear storage compartment. It also handles 300 watts mono into 2 ohms. It fits two-row, 5-seat vehicles only. Use of the driver’s side rear storage compartment is lost with installation.
The Dodge Ram Stealthbox is for the 2006 and up 2500/3500 Mega Cab. It installs behind the back seat and includes two 10 inch TW1 subwoofers. Two of the Stealthboxes can be installed side by side for up to 6dB more output.
The model SB-D-MGACABG4-10TW1 handles 600 watts into 2 ohms. Installation requires removal of the rear seat storage compartment and OEM subwoofer (if so equipped).
