Update: SkillsUSA Seeks Aid for June Mobile Audio Finals

Note: We are rerunning this press release as SkillsUSA is still in need of donations as it approaches the national finals for Mobile Electronics Installation.

Press Release: SkillsUSA, the career and technical student organization serving more than 395,000 high schools around the country, is holding a finals contest in Mobile Electronics Installation on June 21st and 22nd at the Georgia World Conference Center in Atlanta.

Leading up to the finals, statewide contests in car audio installation are currently being held in about 20 to 25 states.  The last state contest will be held the first week in May in Ohio.

SkillsUSA is still seeking funding and needs to raise another $10,000, said Chris Jack, Technical Chairperson for Mobile Electronics Installation at SkillsUSA.

Sponsors for 2023 include KICKER, Sony and its distributors, Southern Thunder Audio, GA, BOSS, Diamond Audio/Cerwin Vega, Sky High Car Audio, Custom Speaker Pod, MMATs Pro Audio, JBL/Infinity, Sundown Audio.

SkillsUSA is also seeking prize donations (swag and car audio products) and volunteers to help judge and administrate the finals contest.

  1. The KICKER Tech Force will be assisting with the Oklahoma SkillsUSA contest on Thursday of this week! After the contest, we’re bringing all the competitors to KICKER world headquarters for lunch and a tour. It’s a great opportunity to build excitement for these young men and women as they start to look at “the real world” and figure out what they want to do.
