Hertz is launching a full lineup of new marine audio products, and is shipping the company’s first source unit with SiriusXM capability
At KnowledgeFest Las Vegas this week, Hertz will show three new source units, including a new top of the line HMR 50 (now shipping after pandemic delays), which is SiriusXM-Ready, and has Bluetooth v5.0, aptX (CD-Audio quality) connectivity and a USB 2.0 port (iPad/ iPhone control).
The HMR 50 has a 3.5-inch color TFT IPS display, FM / AM PLL radio with Marine Weather Band, 3-zone control, and 8 band EQ for each zone.
A step down HMR 15 has a minimalist square-shaped design with a 2.8-inch DOT Matrix display and a large marine-grade push button panel.
Finally, the basic HMR BT offers Bluetooth v5.0 and Qualcomm aptX audio codec (CD-Audio quality).
The products are IP66 rated and have pure marine certification for protection from UV, salt-fog, vibrations, and thermal shock.
In amplifiers, Hertz is showing a new Venezia line with an improved power/size ratio. The Venezia claims 85 percent efficiency and it has a Hi-Res Certification by the Japan Audio Society (JAS).

Other new Hertz marine products include HMS 12 marine subwoofers in 2- or 4-ohm single voice coil versions. They offer 500 watt continuous or 1,000 watt max power handling and come with classic or sports grilles, including built-in LEDs. The sports grilles can be painted to match any color scheme.
The 12-inch subwoofers have a depth of only 5.54 inches, and are optimized to perform in open baffle applications. (See specs below).
These are joined by new HMX Marine Coaxial Speakers with new new sports grilles available in 6.5-inch and 8-inch models in gray and white, both with LED lighting.
