New products have been hard to come by over the past two years, but here are some spot additions in powersports products, line upgrades and more.

 

Rockford Announces New Polaris Ranger Kits

Rockford announced its first audio kits for the Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Full Size and Crew models.

Key features for the 2018+ Ranger kits are that rear speaker pods are now included in STG-2, STG-4, and STG-6 kits. Rockford also now offers an RGB LED lighting option within the Ranger 2018+ line-up as well as an option to add an additional subwoofer to the Ranger CREW (4 seat).  See the full press release here.

 

New Waterproof Amplifiers From Memphis

Memphis Car Audio will add three new fully waterproof, IPX5-rated amplifiers during the second quarter. They feature sealed plugs and include a 6 channel model to run cabin speakers plus either a pair of tower speakers or a subwoofer.  The amplifiers include the MM900.6V  (125 x 4 and 200 x 2 @ 2 ohm.) and the MM500.4V (4 channel, 4 x 125 w @ 2 ohms) and the MM600.2V ( 2 channel 2 x 300 w @ 2 ohms).  The MM900.6V and MM900.2V have a remote bass knob.

Also new are Memphis’ shallowest subwoofers to date  offering a 3-inch mounting depth in 10- and 12-inch sizes.

 

Triton’s First Powersports Amps

Triton is introducing three new IPX6 rated Marine and Powersports amplifiers.  These Class D amplifiers will be available in mono, four channel and six channel configurations.  All models will include an RF Bass remote which allows sub control without having to run cables.  The new units are expected to ship in August.

Ratings are as follows:

PS10001 – 1×500 @ 2 Ohm

PS10004 – 4x120W @ 2 Ohm

PS15006 – 6×120 @ 2 Ohm

Race Sport Intro’s Solar Cab Lights

Race Sport announced new solar marker cab lights for trucks. Currently installers are required to drill holes and run wires to the roof in order to install marker cab lights. Race Sport’s new lights are both vibration-sensing and solar-powered.  The lights shut off automatically when they sense no movement after 45 to 60 seconds.

Race Sport says the lights can save 4 to 6 hours in installation time. They adhere via automotive 3M adhesive and are expected to ship in April for $399 MAP.

 

Arc Audio Updates DSP/Amps

Arc Audio is upgrading its full line of digital signal processors and DSP/amplifiers to 12 channel capacity, up from 8 channels.

The first product to receive the update will be the Blackbird, an 8 -channel amplifier, now with 12 channels of DSP that delivers 100 watts by 8 at 4 ohms.  A companion 2 channel amplifier, the Nighthawk, will also be available. Both share the same footprint and casing.  Shipping is expected by the end of the year.
