Wāvtech, the maker of car audio OEM integration and processors, has been named the exclusive master distributor of STEG high end car audio products in the Americas.
All of STEG products carried by Wāvtech are made in Italy. STEG is owned by GTTrading, which is the number one car audio amplifier and speaker brand in Asia, said Wāvtech President Mike Morris.
“This is a great opportunity for Wāvtech to expand our range of products without all the development required to start another division. We can take advantage of the 30-year history of STEG and all their engineering,” said Morris.
One of STEG’s unique products is its tweeters, which include dual composite diaphragms made of both silk and aluminum. Wavtech’s STEG amplifiers and speakers are priced from $150 to $5,000.
Wāvtech expects one of its most popular products in the STEG range to be the DSTII series amplifiers, which have a very small footprint. The four-channel model delivers a total of 480 watts RMS power at $599.
“STEG has been very successful in Asia and Europe and we are excited to carry that tradition into the Americas,” said Morris.
