AudioControl has introduced two new high power 5-channel amplifiers including the LC-5.1300, its top of the line non-DSP amplifier which is shipping now. It will be joined by the D-5.1300 with DSP in mid-February.
The company, which began selling amplifiers only about 6 years ago, now says amplifiers account for 30 percent of its sales.
AudioControl expects its sales to increase by double digits this year, as last year, according to CEO, Alex Camara.
Its new 5-channel amplifiers offer 200 Watts RMS X 4 @ 2-Ohm (100 Watts X 4-channels RMS @ 4-Ohm) and 500 watts X 1-channel at 2-Ohm along with eight speaker level inputs with selectable summing capability.
The LC-5.1300 offers the same performance without the DSP features. It was originally planned for release a year ago, but was delayed due to the pandemic. “What’s really unique is we still have 8 speaker level inputs as well as 6 RCA line level inputs. It’s just a real powerhouse of an amplifier with a simple design and amazing audio… There’s something special about the audio on this amplifier,” said AudioControl Director of Mobile Audio Chris Bennett.
The D-5.1300 delivers onboard DSP control of all amplified outputs and a pair of low-level outputs as well. The DSP interface is managed by the DM Smart App designed for all of AudioControl’s DSP amplifiers.
The AudioControl D-5.1300 has a selling price of $1,099. The LC-5.1300 has a selling price of $799.
