JVCKenwood Describes Shortage Impact

After ceasing its car audio shipments in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, JVCKenwood has resumed shipping products on a limited basis.

JVCKenwood has received permission from local authorities to resume business, however its warehouse staff remains limited so product is shipping on a curtailed schedule.

Scott Caswell, JVCKenwood Senior Marketing Manager said, “The past few weeks have been a huge challenge to say the least. In an effort to be a good corporate citizen and for the health and safety of our employees and community, we have been following the guidelines of state and local authorities. The guidelines include employees working from home and shipping of only essential products…”

He added, “We received approval from the city to resume limited shipping of automotive products effective today… We are working with a limited warehouse staff who are maintaining social distancing rules.”

JVCKenwood also makes radio communication devices which are considered essential to first responders, and so they are taking priority in terms of company resources.

“Nonetheless, we are excited that product will begin to ship out. Please bear with us as we ramp up shipping over the coming days and weeks,” said Caswell.
