ESCORT radar is “re-introducing” its iX-Ci custom installed radar detection system. Instead of the full a la carte iX-Ci first introduced a year ago, it now offers a basic, pre-configured system at a package price of $2,199.95.
The system is configured with two laser shifters in the front and a front radar detector. Users may add as options two more shifters and a second radar detector to the rear of the vehicle. This package makes the iX-Ci a direct replacement for the former popular ESCORT 9500ci, said Brady Siebert, ESCORT Director of Sales.
The system’s ShifterMax Shifters protect against Dragoneye and all LIDAR devices.
The iX-Ci uses advanced filtering against false alerts from sources including the vehicle collision systems on other cars. It also includes an on-board GPS Defender enforcement camera and speed trap database, and crowdsourced alerts via ESCORT Live.
It will be available after March 25th. All add-on systems components will be available a la carte at the same time.
The ESCORT MAX Ci remains ESCORT’s top end custom installed radar detector at $3,600.
