Eric Carter, former owner of a leading car audio dealer, Cartronix of Valparaiso, IN, has joined Modern Media Geeks, a digital marketing firm that helps car audio dealers.
Carter closed Cartronix in April and sold off the branding rights to the store. The shop had been a multiple Mobile Electronics Magazine Top 12 Retailer, and had won awards for Best Showroom, Best Customer Service and Best Online Presence.
Carter closed up shop to spend more time with his family. He had been a long-time customer of Modern Media Geeks, founded by Jon Dewar and eventually decided to work for him.
“I love car audio with a passion, but I also love marketing and branding…I was a client of Jon’s for 7 years. We got to know each other pretty well,” said Carter.
He will work with Google AdWords, Facebook advertising and interfacing with retailers to improve their web presence. He will assist with blog content, new website creation and more. “The goal is to make the current clients’ presence and visibility larger.”
