Carrobot HUD

A new heads up display (HUD) from Boyo (Vision Tech), which won an award at the SEMA Show, offers many of the high tech features found on the Navdy.

Called the Carrobot, it provides full Android phone mirroring with voice control out of the box. Users plug it into the cigarette lighter and pair it with the Android phone.  Text messages, phone calls, calendar info and driving directions appear on the screen and are called up by Google Assistant through the phone, as shown in the video here.  An app for iPhone users should be available by January if not before.

The app will also allow other advanced features for all phones, including the ability to respond by voice to text messages.  Also, an option to use hand gestures to control the HUD may also be available.

With the app, users will also be able to control music from a smartphone.

Carrobot also lets users to hear their calendar appointments, or to find a coffee shop and then receive directions, all displayed on the windshield.

The Carrobot received a Global Media Award at the SEMA Show in November.

The Carrobot with Android mirroring is now shipping at $399 suggested retail price.
