PAC (AAMP Global) is introducing a new line of RadioPro kits that include all necessary harnesses plus steering wheel controls and other interfaces.
The first product in the new PPK line is for Camaro. “What’s unique is we still use the climate controls of the factory. We’re not changing the look and feel of the dash. It retains the same form factor as the factory radio,” said a spokesman.
The Camaro kit works with 2010 to 2015 models. It includes a factory matched dash kit that let you fit an aftermarket radio in the Camaro dash. It has an electronic interface module to retain factory climate controls, steering wheel controls, OnStar and the factory amplifier.
It has an auxiliary audio and USB retention harness. And it has an antenna adapter and an exterior temperature display.
“RPK5-GM4101 is specifically designed and engineered to interface seamlessly with 2010-2015 Camaro factory features. It takes little more than a few standard tools to follow the instructions in the installation manual, and installers don’t have to worry about making sure components are compatible. Everything is included in one box, and compatibility is guaranteed, said Nathan Wincek, AAMP Global senior product manager of integration.
The kit RPK5-GM4101 can work with both single and double DIN aftermarket radios. It is shipping soon at a suggested retail price of $399.
