GROM Audio announced the pre-sale of its new Vline, a radio upgrade for Lexus and Toyota with touchscreen navigation.
The interface runs on automotive grade Android 5.1.1. It adds features to the factory radio including Google Maps and Waze and Web Radio, Spotify, Google Music and more. It allows stereo music streaming and access to additional apps on Google Play.
Drivers can use their existing radio touch screen and steering wheel controls to operate the system.
Vline only requires a phone connection for Internet data, not for running apps, said GROM.
Vline does not replace any factory radio parts. All existing functions of the car stereo system including FM, CD or factory Bluetooth will keep working.
The first shipment is scheduled for September 30. An early bird price of $299.95 is offered in the pre-sale period for a savings of $200.
