Owners of the Mercedes Benz Metris can now seamlessly retrofit their vans with any backup camera.
Mid City Engineering is shipping the Metris Camera Programmer, which it calls “the simplest, first, and most cost-effective solution on the market to add an OEM style camera.”
The plug and play programmer takes less than half an hour to install with no flashing required. The 1-button programming procedure takes only 5 seconds. It uses existing factory camera input and factory programming, including the ability to view the camera on demand.
While the Metris Camera programmer can be used with almost any backup camera via the included FAKRA to RCA adapter, Mid City also offers a camera kit.
Retail pricing is $308 without camera and $408 with camera.
