Car Toys, Seattle will begin selling an exclusive branded JBL subwoofer/speaker/amplifier system in the next few weeks offered soley through a  pilot expeditor program Car Toys is running in two Texas cities.

This expediter program launched last Fall in Austin and San Antonio, TX, differing from Car Toy’s other expeditor programs as it offers mobile vans that travel to car dealers to perform installations.

Under the program, Car Toys sells expeditor products including an exclusive plug and play branded JBL speaker/amplifier/subwoofer system for Ford F150 trucks that is available only in the Car Toys  commercial sales division (not at any other retailer and not at Car Toys retail stores). Now a second JBL system is being added that works with Dodge Ram trucks.

The new Ram model will be tuned to the acoustics of the Ram truck and will be OE fit and finish with aftermarket sound quality. It will be similar to the F150 product which included four speakers, a pair of 8-inch dual voice coil subwoofers and a DSP amplifier.
Car Toys said it plans to expand the its mobile van expeditor program beyond San Antonia and Austin but it has not yet revealed when nor to which cities.

VP Merchandising & Marketing Jim Warren said of the program, “We’re pleased with things operationally. It’s been very smooth. We do plan to expand it further in the coming year. Not sure where yet or when, but we plan on expanding it this year.”

Car Toys also offers more traditional expeditor and fleet sales (without the mobile vans).  It’s commercial car audio sales, including expeditor and fleet sales now represent  about 20 percent of the company’s car electronics business and it has been on the upswing.
