Memphis Car Audio has renamed the company as simply “Memphis” as it is no longer just a car audio company, but an audio company that also produces products for powersports vehicles, boats and motorcycles.

The company is also planning to move upscale into higher end car audio products this summer and it has revamped 90 percent of its product line for this year, in its largest launch of new products since its inception.

The company has repackaged its line with the new Memphis moniker.

It is placing a big push on powersports audio including a new “gauge radio” or round shaped MediaCenter AM/FM radio with Bluetooth that streams audio from a phone. It is water resistant and ships in February at $249. The radio is joined by a full selection of powersports speakers.

Also new for 2016 is the company’s first under-the-seat amplified subwoofers and first sound bar.

The Bluetooth sound bar measures 43.5 inches across with 2-channel output. It houses 6 speakers –4 midrange and 2 tweeters– with a built-in 100 watt amplifier. It fits bars that are 1- 2.5 inches in diameter and ships in February at $749 suggested retail price.

The under-the-seat amplified subwoofer includes the NANOBOXX SA108SP and SA110SP with 8- and 10- drivers respectively. They use passive radiators and Memphis claims they are among the loudest on the market. Power output starts at 150 watts. Suggested retail prices are $449 and $499. They are shipping now

Among other new products is a new top of the line subwoofer, the Mojo 6 available in 12 and 15 inch models rated at 1500 and 2200 watts RMS at $649 and $689, respectively.
