Rockford Fosgate’s new powersports media player is split in two, with a separate 5-inch screen and hideaway black box.
The new PMX-8BB black box is SiriusXM capable with Pandora control via USB or Bluetooth. It works with Android phones and iPhones and permits true 4 zone/4-source control.
It also has an AM/FM RDS tuner, 7-band DSP and waterproof design, and it may work with an optional CAN transceiver.
The 5-inch companion screen, model PMX-8DH, is IPX6 rated for water spray protection and has an input for a camera or video. The units ship this summer at $399.99 suggested retail price for the digital receiver and $299.99 for the monitor.
They are joined by the PMX-0, all in one digital media receiver for powersports vehicles at $149.99 suggested retail price. It is designed to control a small audio system, providing Bluetooth audio streaming from both Apple and Android devices.
The PMX-0 is iPX6 rated for water spray protection and measures a compact 2.6 x 4.1 inches. It has a large rotary knob and front mounted sub level controls, front/rear/sub RCA outputs and can be used with an optional PAUX extension port to add USB charging.
Rockford will display these and other products during CES at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (Artist Ballroom) in Las Vegas, Jan. 6-8.
