Kicker Ships VSS Audio for Colorado, Canyon

share on:

Kicker is shipping this month an audio upgrade package specifically for the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and 2015 GMC Canyon pickup trucks.

The Vehicle Specific Solutions (VSS) allow the audio upgrade without cutting any wires or taping holes. They include a multi-channel amplifier with digital signal processing (DSP), wiring harnesses and a powered subwoofer depending on the package. They install using factory plugs and mounting points, said Kicker.

The VSS PowerStage increases the audio in the Colorado/Canyon to 50 watts per channel with DSP optimized for the vehicles. It includes the full package with amplifier, powered sub and enclosure. It uses a custom mounting bracket so the amp integrates seamlessly with the factory radio and speakers.

The VSS SubStage includes the powered subwoofer and enclosure to add bass (but not the DSP amp).

The sub enclosure on both models is contoured to fit under the back bench (without the need to remove the factory spare tire tools).   An 8-inch subwoofer includes an integrated 200-watt amplifier.

The systems use pre-cut, pre-terminated wiring harnesses that are insulated and sheathed in a custom wire loom, and they include all battery, subwoofer, radio and amplifier connections.

Kicker will display at the 2015 SEMA Show a Chevy Colorado with the VSS PowerStage upgrade in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #11861. Also, a Colorado/Canyon upgrade will be shown in the SEMA Show New Product Showcase.

Kicker VSS is made in the USA from both domestic and foreign parts.
