NJ retailer Joe Bruno Designs has developed a car-mount module for the remote control for K40 custom installed radar detectors. Bruno’s design take the current remote control from the K40 RL 360i or 200i detectors and converts it into a permanent mount with power so it may be installed as a built-in controller.
Called the Control FreaK-40, it provides a flush mountable pocket made of plastic or polished aluminum. It also includes a 12 volt battery supply.
It should be noted that K40 itself showed a prototype in-car mount remote control unit at KnowledgeFest in Dallas last week, for its custom installed radar detector systems. Currently that product is under development with no specific shipping plans at present.
Joe Bruno Designs is a highly specialized car audio fabrication shop in West Berlin, NJ.
The ControlFreaK–40 is available at $299 in black plastic or $329 in polished aluminum. To see more visit http://joebrunodesigns.com/k-40-mod-kit
