Rockford Fosgate announced it is now shipping the T3 Superwoofer, its largest, most powerful subwoofer built to date.
The new superwoofer measures 19 inches and weighs 75 pounds at $2,499 suggested retail price.
The Power Series superwoofer delivers 6,000 watts maximum power and 3,000 watts RMS, available in 1-ohm (T3S1-19) and 2-Ohm (T3S2-19) configurations. It was first shown at CES in January. The superwoofer also has an Xmax excursion of 35mm in one direction and uses technologies “never before seen in car audio,” said Rockford.

Drew Kallen, Rockford director of loudspeaker engineering said, “The T3 superwoofer’s injection molded foam surround makes the foam strong and durable like a rubberized material, while the edge wound voice coil allows the windings to be very close with no air gaps so it stays cool for high power handling capacity. We also engineered a very efficient ‘Push/Pull’ voice coil design with a huge Neodymium magnet for a very efficient motor assembly. This sub really needs to be experienced in order to fully appreciate it. It’ll blow you away…literally.”
