DOW Completes Purchase of Eagle Distributors

Distributor DOW Electronics, based in Tampa, FL announced it completed the purchase of Eagle Distributors in Kenner, LA.

DOW purchased the ongoing operations and certain assets of Eagle in a move which will help grow DOW’s role in car audio as well as custom integration and consumer electronics, it said.

It also expands DOW into the Texas and Oklahoma territories, adding to DOW’s current locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Eagle has been a distributor in the areas of home theater products, mobile electronics products, and appliances, serving the five states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas from three distribution locations in Kenner (New Orleans), Dallas, and Houston.

“This acquisition will allow DOW to expand our territory into Texas and Oklahoma as well as fortify our position as a leading custom integration/consumer electronics and 12 Volt distributor,”said John Yodzis, DOW Executive VP.  “Eagle’s customer base and sales force should integrate seamlessly into DOW’s operation.”

DOW Electronics six areas of business include car and marine audio, consumer electronics, surveillance, satellite TV and broadband,  and VoIP.
