VOXX (formerly Audiovox) will relocate its headquarters from Hauppauge, NY to Orlando, FL in a new 115,000 square foot facility near Orlando Airport.
It will not, however, close its operations in New York and Detroit, reported the Orlando Sentinel.
The new facility will include production of DVD headrest systems and GPS antennas. VOXX supplies car products to companies including BMW, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Porsche and others.
VOXX has been regrouping to handle global expansion. In 2014, VOXX reorganized to bring together four groups: Hirschmann Car Communications, Audiovox Incaar, Code Alarm, and Invision. Ludwig Geis was appointed president and chief executive of that new subsidiary, VoxxHirschmann.
The new building will be in Lake Nona Airport Business Park.
VOXX is valued at $203.8 million.
