Del Ellis Sales Training announced a new “Pay It Forward” program where it will offer free sales training to retailers. And once they improve their sales, he asks retailers to pay for the training of another retailer to Pay It Forward.

Retailers must pay for the own transportation and lodging and Ellis will provide the training and lunch in 2-day sessions at its facility in Clovis, CA. The first session will be held November 15-16 and will include 4 topics: Connecting with Customers, The Discovery Process, Presenting Solutions, and Closing the Sale.
“You hear a lot about how our industry is shrinking and we aren’t able to bring in the revenue we used to. The fact is that we need to work harder and smarter to create sales and build customer rapport. That’s why training is important, if not vital..,” Ellis said.
The first Pay It Forward event will be held at Ellis’s new training facility in Clovis, November 15-16. It covers the topics: Connecting with Customers, The Discovery Process, Presenting Solutions, and Closing the Sale.
Upon graduation, retailers sign a non-binding “Goodwill Agreement” that implies they will pay the training costs of another individual of their choice once they see increased sales as a result of the training they received.
“You hear stories every day of stores that are exceeding sales projections because they place a focus on smart selling and follow-through,” said Ellis. “If we could get more stores to adopt these practices, you’ll begin to hear more about how we are succeeding as an industry rather than failing.”
