JL Audio is now shipping all-new TW1 subwoofer drivers that have the smallest box enclosure requirements to date for a JL Audio 10- or 12-inch subwoofer.
The subwoofers are designed to require only 0.35 cu.ft. of air space for the 10TW1 and 0.65 su.ft. for the 12TW1.
Mounting depth requirements for the subwoofers are 4.36 inches and 4.62 inches, respectively.
They use a cast aluminum alloy frame that is a distinct shape, allowing multiple woofers to be mounted close together.
Also the frames recess the moving part of the woofer so that less that an inch of front clearance is needed in the installation. Power handling is rated at 300 watts continuous. Xmax is 0.4 inches.
Other features include DMA-optimized motor systems and highly linear, FEA-optimized suspension systems plus JL Audio’s Concentric-Tube suspension technology.
The drivers are built in the USA at JL Audio’s factory in Miramar, FL at suggested retail prices of $249.95 and $299.95.
