CYPRESS, CA–Clarion announced its smartphone-linking system for car radio will be used in all Subaru 2015 model year Legacy and Outback infotainment systems.
Subaru and Clarion have co-developed the STARLINK system for Subaru with a connection to the cloud. It lets drivers link an iPhone or Android phone to their car radio over Bluetooth or USB. They can access select apps such as iHeartRadio. STARLINK can also push your calendar data to the radio display. Other apps and services will be added in the future.
Clarion supplies a Smart Access cloud-connection system to smartphones for both OEM and aftermarket car radios.
The Subaru STARLINK App is now available as a free download from Google Play and iTunes app stores.
The system will be offered on more Subaru vehicle models in the near future.
