Boss Audio will offer its first custom audio systems for specific Polaris and other off road vehicles by the end of the year.
In addition, the company is adding new universal power sports audio products and creating, for the first time, a separate powers sports catalog, it said.
Power sports audio began to take off as a niche market about two years ago. For some suppliers, it is an off shoot of marine audio, as the same water resistant products may be configured for off road vehicles. Boss said its sales have doubled in the segment this year.
The company is planning specific systems for Polaris, Suzuki, Honda and other off road vehicles. It is also skipping the SEMA show this year in favor of exhibiting at two power sports shows: The American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando, FL in October and the Dealer Expo in Chicago in December.
New Boss products will include rack mounted audio systems for 4-wheelers including golf carts under the Rebel sub-brand. Boss is also adding more Bluetooth speakers for off road vehicles that work wirelessly with a smartphone or tablet.
