CLEARWATER, FL — Intraphex introduced an interface kit for Nissan/Infiniti that lets drivers add a “tablet like” radio experience to their car.
The company launched a new Prodigy Pro Android-based OEM touchscreen radio upgrade kit for select Nissan and Infiniti applications, the PPN-NI21.
When installed, the Prodigy Pro uses the factory touch screen radio to launch Android apps, Internet radio, GPS navigation, weather, news and other upgrade features (Wi-Fi hotspot required for Internet connection). Apps and media can be easily purchased and downloaded from Google Play.
The Prodigy Pro uses a 1.2GHz Cortex A9 processor and runs Android 4.3. It’s a black box with internal 4GB of FLASH memory and a SD Card slot to expand storage memory to 32GB. Additionally, it has inputs for a reverse camera and built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling using a smartphone.
