The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) is asking car audio suppliers who are CEA members to submit photos for a driver safety campaign this month.
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, so CEA will be offering blogs and a social media campaign to raise awareness of car technologies that can improve driver safety. As part of the campaign, it has asked aftermarket suppliers of driver safety products to send in a photo of employees holding a sign that says “I Am Innovating Safety” as a way to put a face on the innovators in safety products. The photos will be part of CEA’s awareness campaign.
“As we see it, technology is what is going to make driving safer,” said CEA spokeswoman Samantha Nevels. Suppliers who want to participate and include their photo should contact Samantha here.
The Innovating Safety campaign was launched by the CEA late last year and will continue as a “long lived” campaign. It highlights products that promote safer driving including wireless and voice control products and remote car monitoring.
