NAV-TV is offering new interfaces for most late model BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles that let you add an aftermarket camera or nightvision camera.
The kits give you a plug and play harness for a camera that plugs directly into the CAN bus of the vehicles for quick installation.
With the interface, a backup camera (sold separately) will display parking grid lines that move along with the vehicle as it backs up, mimicking the factory option.
NAV-TV says a factory kit for a backup camera on some new BMW vehicles are priced at almost $4,000 and its interface and separate camera sells at a fraction of the cost.
The Mercedes camera kit it is the model W2014-12 Dynamic and the BMW kit is the BMW12 Dynamic.
