New Midwest CE Show Launches

INDEPENDENCE, MO–The Midwest is taking a cue from the Pacific Northwest and launching a regional show hosted by a group of rep firms to be called the Midwest Consumer Electronics Expo (MWCEE).

If that sounds familiar, it’s because last year several rep firms joined to launch the first annual Pacific Northwest Consumer Electronics Expo (PNWCEE) in Seattle and Portland.

The new Midwest show includes five reps from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. It will be held April 17 and 18 in Kansas City.

“Due to the costs of traveling to trade shows and the reduction in staffs, we are seeing less turnout for the national shows. Add that to the costs of our vendors traveling and really not seeing more than a few accounts per day, we decided to bring everyone together in an easy cost effective way,” said Brett Phelps of River City Sales.

“We feel there is so much changing technology right now, that if the dealers don’t attend the trade shows and hear the messages,  there is no way to keep up,” he added.

The show is divided into a home electronics area and car electronics hall.  Vendors in car electronics include Kenwood, Dynaudio, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, Audiovox, Kicker, Hushmat, Focal and more.

Home audio vendors include Denon, Marantz, Martin Logan, Wyrestorm, Savant, Digital Projection, Sonance, Screen Innovations, Wolf Cinema Onkyo and more.

The show includes home and car audio product training from Denon, Marantz, Wyrestorm, Savant, Packedge, Onkyo, Sanus, Alpine, Kenwood, JL Audio, Kicker and more.
