Kenwood Offers HDMI WiFi Dongle for Radios

While many of Kenwood’s new receivers now have HDMI capability for video mirroring, not everyone wants to see their phone dangling from an HDMI cable in the car.  So Kenwood will release  possibly in March, its own HDMI/WiFi dongle that will let you keep your phone in your pocket or purse, but still get an HDMI connection for streaming video from the phone to the radio.

The dongle will likely sell in the $120 to $150 range and it will work with Android phones and iPhones.

In this case, the user must control video from the phone itself rather than the radio although Kenwood may offer limited controls from the radio itself.
