Phoenix Gold SX series

Phoenix Gold will introduce at CES an all-new line called the SX series that includes compact amplifiers, slimline and full-sized subwoofers and speakers.

The SX Class D amplifiers come in 5 models ranging from a multi-channel, 1200 watt 5-channel amplifier to a 400 watt mono amp.  The SX amps range in size from about 7 x 7 x 2 inches  to about 12 x 7 x 2 inches and use new power management circuitry and balanced line inputs.

The SX subwoofers include four slimline SXt models  in 10- and 12-inches available in either dual 2- or dual 4 ohm configurations with 300 watt RMS power handling each.  Full-sized SX subwoofers are in similar configurations but with higher 400 watt power handling.  There is also a fifth, 8-inch full-sized, single 4 ohm subwoofer for installation in smaller vehicles, which is rated at 200 watts.

SX (full-sized) subwoofers offer 35mm of peak to peak excursion and SXt (slimline) subwoofers offer 25mm excursion.

The SX line also includes a component speaker set and 5 coaxial sets all with 20mm pivoting silk dome tweeters. Sizes include 6.5-, 5.25-, 5 x 7-, 6-, 6.5- and 6 x9-inches.

Most of the SX line will ship in January and February and new SXt subwoofers will ship in April.
